  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for brûlée topping)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven as per pie crust package instructions. Roll out the crust into a pie dish, prick it with a fork, cover with parchment paper, and fill with weights. Bake until golden brown.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and cinnamon. Add one egg mixed with water, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spice; blend until smooth.
  3. Stir in grated orange peel, salt, sweetened condensed milk, and two eggs until well combined. Pour into the baked crust.
  4. Bake for about 40 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center. Cool completely.
  5. Whip heavy cream to soft peaks; fold in powdered sugar and vanilla paste. Spread over cooled filling; sprinkle sugar on top and torch until caramelized.
