  • 2 cups celery (1/4 inch diced)

  • 1/4 cup fresh sage (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups high-quality chicken or turkey broth (plus extra if needed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter (for greasing pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F. Tear bread into bite-sized pieces and spread on a dry pan. Bake for about an hour until toasted but not browned.
  2. Chop onion and celery; sauté in melted butter over medium heat for about 7-10 minutes until soft.
  3. Chop fresh herbs and combine with toasted bread in a large bowl.
  4. Mix sautéed vegetables into the bread mixture; season with salt and pepper.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together broth and eggs. Gradually pour over the bread mixture, gently squeezing to moisten evenly.
  6. Grease a baking pan and spread stuffing mixture evenly inside.
  7. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 25-35 minutes until golden brown.
