  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 10 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth. Mix in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  3. Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until combined, then fold in crumbled turkey bacon and chopped peanuts.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in a prepared baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top; return to the oven for one minute to melt. Spread melted chocolate evenly over the bars and top with remaining turkey bacon and peanuts.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
