Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (or thyme/sage)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese (plus 3 tablespoons for dusting)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. 2. Grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of butter and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of parmesan cheese.
  3. 3. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, butter, herbs, salt, pepper, and garlic base over low heat until melted and fragrant. Stir in all but 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese.
  4. 4. Thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline and layer them in the baking dish diagonally without overlapping too much.
  5. 5. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the potatoes and cover with greased aluminum foil.
  6. 6. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until tender. Broil for about 4 minutes until golden brown.
