Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake)
  • 1 cup caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until liquid; let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the melted butter while whisking.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. For the cheesecake layer, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Spoon dollops over the brownie base and swirl gently.
  7. Melt caramel candies with heavy cream in another bowl until smooth; drizzle over the cheesecake layer and swirl lightly.
  8. Bake for about 35-40 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly. Cool completely on a wire rack before refrigerating for at least two hours before cutting.
