  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup Onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 1/4 cups Milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 tsp Pepper
  • 2 cups Macaroni, uncooked
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Dry Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, diced onion, breadcrumbs, egg, 1/4 cup milk, salt, and pepper until well combined. Press into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for about 20 minutes to set the meatloaf base.
  4. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and cook for one minute. Gradually whisk in remaining milk until thickened. Add salt, pepper, paprika, dry mustard, and cheese until melted.
  6. Combine macaroni with cheese sauce and pour over the meatloaf. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake again for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly.
