  • 2 lbs (900 grams) Apples (Gala, Fuji, or McIntosh)
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp (25 grams) brown sugar
  • 4 inches (55 grams) fresh ginger
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Chop the apples into quarters without peeling them.
  2. In an Instant Pot, combine all ingredients. Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 18 minutes; manually release steam afterward. For stovetop, boil then simmer for about 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing down on the apples to extract more flavor.
  4. Allow the tea to cool before serving.
