  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk together egg yolks, maple syrup, arrowroot, and sea salt until blended.
  2. Heat mixture with half and half over medium-high heat, whisking continuously until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream and vanilla extract.
  4. Strain mixture to remove any solids and chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours.
  5. Freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer instructions until soft-serve consistency.
  6. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 4-6 hours until firm.
