  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • ¼ cup milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • ¼ cup coconut cream (or heavy cream)
  • Optional: gingerbread man cookie for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil while stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. For the topping, whisk together coconut cream and one tablespoon of gingerbread syrup until soft peaks form.
  3. Heat milk until simmering (do not boil) and froth using a French press or frother.
