  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semolina flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup honey, warmed
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with melted butter.
  3. Layer one sheet of phyllo in the dish and brush with melted butter; repeat with six more sheets.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together semolina, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth; pour over phyllo base.
  5. Cover with another phyllo sheet and brush with butter; lightly score the top.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown; cool for 10 minutes before drizzling with warmed honey.
