Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken slices with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if desired), salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Toss the drained pasta into the skillet with the sauce until well coated. Add reserved pasta water gradually if needed for consistency.
  5. Return sliced chicken to the skillet and mix thoroughly before serving warm.
