Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, followed by vanilla and coconut extracts.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with coconut milk until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool cakes completely before frosting.
