  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • Two 8-ounce packages refrigerated crescent roll dough or sheets
  • 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix ground cinnamon and sugar in a bowl for the churro topping.
  3. Roll out one package of crescent dough into a greased baking dish for the crust.
  4. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth to create the filling.
  5. Layer half of the filling over the dough, add another layer of dough, top with remaining filling, and finish with a final layer of dough.
  6. Drizzle melted butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 28 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
