  • 3½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup cherry juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three 8-inch round cake pans by greasing and lining them with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla. Gradually combine the dry ingredients and milk until just mixed.
  4. Fold in chopped cherries, divide batter among pans, and bake for 22–27 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
