  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/3 cup hot pepper jelly
  • Fresh thyme leaves or chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until fully combined.
  3. Add flour, salt, and garlic powder; mix until dough forms.
  4. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  7. Press a thumbprint into each ball and fill with 1/2 tsp hot pepper jelly.
  8. Bake for 13–15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.
