  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions in boiling water (3-5 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. While cooking, chop the fresh sage. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and sauté for about a minute until crispy.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté until browned and fragrant (about 5 minutes).
  4. Combine cooked tortellini with the mushroom mixture, adding remaining butter and parmesan cheese. Toss gently to coat.
