  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; cook until softened. Stir in a slurry of cornstarch and water to thicken.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Flatten each biscuit dough piece to about 1/4 inch thick. Place about one tablespoon of the cooled apple filling in the center.
  4. Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal tightly. Dip each bomb into melted butter then roll in cinnamon sugar.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
